uStream Producer Capabilities

uStream is one of the best online video streaming services. With uStream you are able to achieve a live broadcast in seconds with the potential to reach 1000s. While uStream was originally a brower based streaming application; more recently that have released a Windows application called, “uStream Producer”.

The capabilities of the program are amazing. It allows for multiple camera inputs, video playback, audio playback and even PiP. Usually PiP only comes with expensive streaming applications such as that of www.livestream.com. PiP is the ability to display two images at one time. Below is an example of what a simple 8 minute program can achieve.

With the right equipment and setup the application has a huge potential to reach markets for your business.

Rural and Remote Education

A video I made for a subject at JCU ED1401. Was created in under 2.5 hours. Not bad if you ask me.. Although, I made it. Heaps of Internet statistics about rural education in the busy. More information check out the video for it.

A big thanks to Roco43 who is a youtuber that has added several videos of Australia’s outback.

Rural and remote students comprising one third of all school pupils. Only 17% of that proportion attend tertiary education.

Over half of all state schools in Queensland are located in rural and remote areas. Approximately 121, 520 students are enrolled in these schools. This accounts for 24.8% of the total student population. (DETA, 2008)

The figures in rural education are continuing to grow unless a good framework is selected and taught.

Saburban Podcasting approached GYMP Media for a site redesign. They had previously out grown their last site. GYMP Media designed a new template that suited the shows new vision. Below is a thumbnail shot of it.

It originated in America and now Australia has it’s own distributor. The site has several features including: Contact Forms, Page Management Plugins and RSS Feeds. Google Smart Phone – Nexus One

Well, Google has just released there Nexus One. Which runs on Google Anroid 2.1. Android the Mobile Operating System runs of the Linux Kernal. The linux kernal has been developed by a series of developers (Opensource) who add to the capabilities of the Kernal. It allows rapid deployment of updates. Well, here is Nicholas O’Sullivan giving a review of the Google Nexus One.
